They're MY clothes now

I think this is the first outfit I've posted that is all thrifted. I realize I'm walking with giants here, so many of you will be thinking, So what? And you're right, but these all feel like MY clothes, so it didn't occur to me that they were all thrifted until I was out the door.

The burgundy suede blazer (Dorothy Perkins) was thrifted in the UK several years ago. It's very nicely made with four buttons on the cuff that actually open. So I opened them so the ruffly cuffs would show.

The shirt is Ann Taylor Loft, jeans are Levi's, boots are Sporto. Cute name, huh?

I wore this to meet my mom and my sister for coffee. Now, why didn't I take any pictures?!?!? My sister was wearing a very cute dress she thrifted, and she had some cute boots. I'll get pictures of her in here one of these days.

Then I went to Buffalo Exchange and got a little silk shirt and a turquoise scarf. Then I went to pick up some new socks - Ozone brand. They're so comfy. I didn't even realize there's a skull in the pattern until I was taking this picture. Duh!

It looks like Walt Disney threw up!*

I'm linking up with the lovely women of Visible Monday on Not Dead Yet Style. Now I'm off to The Weekly Thrift at Young Heart.

Love the jacket color on you and how lucky to find those cool socks and the turquoise scarf!
Is always fun to catch up with family members over a good cup of joe.

Hooray for you! I keep thinking that I want to do an all thrifted outfit, but it hasn't happened yet. So, you are my hero!

I love that jacket, partly because you got it in England. And I love all of the colors of your new treasures, especially the turquoise scarf. Can't wait to see how you style it!

Thrifting is addicting, isn't it?

That's so funny that you would say that I am intrepid when it comes to shooting on location.

I have a favorite location to shoot because it has so many decrepit, decaying surfaces that look so cool in pictures. For the most part, we have the place to ourselves. But, when we were shooting this, a car drove by slowly while I was standing up on this Stonehenge thing. I bellowed at Chuck, "Act normal, act normal!"

How the heck is that normal? They drove back by a few minutes later, so I turned my back to them. Hey, if I couldn't see them, then they couldn't see me, right?

I haven't found a single thing thirfting lately - think I may have temporarily lost my mojo. But it seems you have yours in full swing!
Burgundy is my favorite color and I love, love your blazer. What a great find!

You are a happy girl! To find these wonderful thrifted pieces would make me happy. The leather jacket is fantastic! The color goes so well together with your new glasses. The spring flower socks are a good remedy against bad weather. I should find some too.

A completely thrifted outfit is something to be proud of for sure. Can't say that I've been able to say that, mostly because I usually don't look for things at thrift stores that I'll wear below the waist, well, other than shoes.
The burgundy jacket looks so well made, and nothing to me in here says "throw up." ;)

Well done! I am always a little surprised when I realize that a full outfit is thrifted or second-hand, but now I'm even more surprised when it's NOT.

Surprised that the jacket is Dotty P - it's great with the shirt. And the socks - I'm not one for novelty socks on the whole but I AM loving anything with skulls on at the moment.

Love it, very Austin Powers with the velvet jacket and ruffled cuffs - and that's in a good way!
It's very rare I wear anything new, Friday's leggings were a real novelty! xxx

An entirely thrifted/secondhand outfit is always a good thing! You can feel lovely and smug at your excellent thrifty shopping habits, in addition to looking super stylish!
Love the jacket and those unbuttonable buttons with the shirt cuffs showing. The blouse and scarf look really pretty too. You're obviously feeling better - hurray! xxxx

Gorgeous jacket, the color suits you so well, especially with the new glasses. Your hair is the most fab color.

Also dying over the cutie socks! New socks always make the day better.

There's no "so what" about it Val, finding a top-to-toe thrifted outfit that suits the occasion can be hard to do unless all the "parts" fit. And my, my they certainly do!! The button detail on the jacket sleeves is inspired - look at that amazing ruffled shirt! I love your new skull socks - winter's on its way here and I need to hunt down some interesting pairs:) xo

The blazer is very pretty! I am glad that I am soon going to the U.K. so I at least have a chance to do some thrifting, here it just no point to visit the thrift stores as it is expensive or lousy!

Impressive ensemble and better yet because it's thrifted! What a great jacket- and I love the way the blouse sleeves are tumbling out.
