Post in want of a title

I was drafting a post on Saturday, I had it all planned - what I was going to wear on Sunday, what photos to take. Then, horror of horrors, the internet disappeared!!! I don't know if North Korea was involved or if it was Martians, but we were plunged into the dark ages for over 36 hours!

Which was actually a good reminder that I was getting a little obsessive about keeping up with blogs and photos and humorous repartee. And I am a little bit ready to slow down on that. You may see fewer comments and fewer blog posts from me. Or you may not. But I'm going to go at my own rhythm.

Thanks for all your honest comments about the white tights, green cardi, shoes and skirt. It's pretty obvious from the differing views that I should just dress to please myself! I appreciate your honest opinions, and you don't have to post only positive comments. But if you criticize, you must also make me laugh, okay?

Without further ado or excuses, here is what I wore on Sunday.

Thrifted dress (Collection by Cherokee) previously seen here

Sorry about the closed eyes! Thrifted red shoes, previously seen in various posts

I started out with white tights again, then changed to nude, which actually looked quite nice and natural.

I'm carrying an old handbag, but it's my absolute favorite ever! It needs cleaning, but I pulled it out to go with this dress. And I'll be sending this next picture to Adrienne at The Rich Life (on a budget) as part of "How I wear my every day bag."

With red cardi from Target, bag is St. John's Bay from JCP
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Time to link up to Visible Monday at Not Dead Yet Style.

Val, I think the white tights look great with this dress! I love that someone else besides me gets emotionally attached to their bags. ;-)

This is a lovely summery look, Val.

Hey, did you get the money order? I'm starting to worry that it's been lost. :(

Hi Val, I love the bag and can't wait to feature it in our bag roundup on Thursday. I'm your newest follower, it's nice to meet you! XO, Jill

Blogging can feel like a big commitment sometimes, especially when you miss a couple of days and have a long list of posts to catch up on... But it's supposed to be FUN , not a chore! So yes, go with your own rhythm of posting and commenting (though I will miss you if you are around less often, I must admit...)
Lovely pretty summery dress, I am envying the bare arms, I feel I have been shrouded in wool and layers and boots for months and months on end. And I can quite understand why your bag is an old favourite, it's gorgeous!
Yes, always dress for yourself, because if you ask for opinions, they will always differ. Again, like blogging, follow your own heart. xxxx

You just blog at your own pace! I always have my eyes closed in pics-- it's hard to get a good eyes open one!
Enjoy wearing your tights. Too hot here already.

Hey Val, I always love the days that your posts show up in my reader or bloglovin'. But I hear you loud and clear that you want to enjoy life outside the blogosphere. I hope some bloggers that have been blogging for a longer time than you and I pop on here and let us know that they too had a period of obsessiveness before they found a comfortable balance.

Your dress, tights, and shoes are a personal favourite for me today. You look pretty, yup very pretty. Um, your arms look very nice and toned. Do you have a secret?

Til next time, hugs!

That last photo is awesome! Look at that flirty smile... Was that your tripod or your man you were giving the eye to?
Great look, Val.
Balancing 3D life and blogging - let me know how to do it, please! And I like your rule about making you laugh.

Blogging can become a full-time job if you're not careful. When you're starting to worry about getting behind with comments then you know you need to step away for a bit.
Love that dress and the white tights! x

Beautiful dress. I also tend to become obsessed with blogging and then need to remind myself it's only a hobby, not a job. Blog at a pace that gives you joy; it shouldn't be a chore.

Damn girl, you look GREAT in that sheath! And bare arms...FAB!
Good for you to blog at your own pace. I got so caught up in the self photo sessions, posting, blogging creative words etc...that I just purged my entire blogspot a few months ago. I have only recently returned and hope that what I put up here is somewhat socially redeeming.
btw...Can you give me a hint as to how to get to Visible Monday? I THOUGHT I was following the directions correctly, but my picture ended up being some sort of wierd google logo. :-(

I know, it's good to step away from the magic machines sometimes, even if forced to do it! : > You look fab, and I have a similar favorite purse! Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.

Love your floral on floral! Spring is definitely on its way!

I have a similar struggle with developing my own rhythm, and it can change on a dime. All I know is that I don't have the answer.

Awwww, lovely roses!!! you look very pretty! Yes, I have had to try and take a step back in recent times because I was spending soooooo much time on blogging (still am rather too much!) so I agree it's good to think about it!x

Write when you want, Val. We'll be here, happy to see you when you arrive. My drawings take so much time that I worry about it, but know it's worth doing.
You decorated the church with you presence on Easter, I am sure. Pretty on you, this dress. You'll wear it a lot this summer.
Your arms, BTW, are great, just in case you ever fret about them. Enviable.

Adorable springy dress! I think it's great that you are open to talking through different looks. I like seeing bloggers who show how mixing and matching can change the effect an outfit has.

I think all attempts have merit and positive points. I'm not a terribly funny person, I like bad puns and laugh at the cheesiest jokes.

What day does an egg hate the most? Fry-days. ;P

I love this dress and outfit! I'm glad you switched to nude tights though ; P

It really looks like Spring.

I too am slowing down on blog following, posting, commenting. After the cancer scare I'm trying to refocus and ensure that there is a bit more balance in my life.

Once Spring finally shows up here I hope to be outside more too. This winter that seems to go on forever is depressing.

Lovely spring-like outfit. The shoes are a perfect match to the dress flowers.
I'm with you on posting and commenting: I only post once a week because I really can't do it more than that. I do comment often on the blogs that I follow but I still don't feel any pressure to do more than that. After all is you blog and you should run it as it pleases you.
